 Essential Questions:

What is a habitat?
Why do living things live in habitats to which they are particularly suited?

We had such a good time learning about organisms and their habitats!
Thanks Donna!

Computer lab $

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Today in computer lab we went on ABCya through the Cole School Portal. The boys and girls had to choose which money game they were going to play.
One game is "Learn Money" which has two choices.
One is identifying the coins.
This screen highlights identifying coins.

The next choice under the "Learn Money" game is sorting coins.
This screen highlights sorting the coins.

The second game is "Money Bingo". To play this game the child has to count money and find the corresponding amount on the Bingo card. It allows the child to count money from only pennies to all four coins and dollar bills (and everything in between). If something seemed easy they were to move to the next level. This game is great since it allows for differentiation.

Here we are practicing our money skills today!

We did a great job! The good news is the boys and girls can go on ABCya from home. Just head to the Cole School Portal. They know what to do from there!

1.MD.MA.5. Identify the values of all U.S. coins; know their comparative values, e.g., a dime is of greater value than a nickel. Find equivalent values, e.g., a nickel is equivalent to 5 pennies. Use appropriate notation (e.g., 69 cents). Use the value of coins in the solution of problems.
