Superflex!

Our class loves the Superflex program and they are riveted during a Superflex Lesson!!

This is what Mrs. Belthoff has to say:

Over the last several weeks, during classroom guidance lessons, students have been learning about “Superflex”, a super hero that helps us defeat  “unthinkables when they “invade our brains.”  Unthinkables are characters that get us to “not think about others” or how our behavior impacts others.  This curriculum was created by Michelle Garcia Winner and has become a popular way to teach children to be “social thinkers.’

The “Superflex” Curriculum teaches students to “outsmart” unthinkables using their flexible brains, never with force or violence.  Students learn they can be their own “Superflex Superhero” by learning strategies to overcome them.  There are also new “thinkables”, which are characters that symbolize positive social behaviors.

You can find more information about this curriculum or order books by visiting socialthinking. Com.

I'll leave you with this joke:
Knock, knock. Who’s there? A broken pencil. A broken pencil who. Oh never mind it’s pointless
