Heat, Light, Sun unit

We predicted whether our shadow would change from 9:00-12:00-3:00.

We learned that the shadow moves because the sun is in a different spot in the sky.

We learned about refraction - which is the bending of light as it moves from the air to the water.
We learned about light sources like the sun, stars, flashlights, and candles.

We learned that a prism can bend light and show the different colors that make up white light.

And we recorded what we saw!

We researched about the sun, shadows, heat, and light.

Then we recorded our learning.

We all found different interesting facts.

We got to experiment with shadows.
That was fun!

We saw how things look bigger the closer they are to the light source.
We used a comb to prove it!

We made our own kaleidoscopes with mirrors.
That was amazing!

We learned that light travels in a straight line.

And we proved it!

Over and Over!
How Does The Moon Shine?

Here Comes the Sun!
